This illustration is a mashup of the names William Morris (a 19th century textile designer) and Morris the Cat (a cat food mascot).
For the pattern, I recreated William Morris’ “Larkspur” in an engraving style. For the cat silhouette, I created a fancy cat graphic to fit the pattern’s time period instead of a literal representation of Morris the Cat.
The illustration appeared as a t-shirt for scoring at Threadless.
